𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐢𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐛𝐨𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐡𝐢𝐝𝐝𝐞𝐧 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐢𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝, such as Vatos, one of the most beautiful beaches of the island with fine sand and emerald waters, the beach Giali which took the name of its clear blue waters with white pebbles. 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐚𝐝𝐦𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐚𝐧, “Kremasto”, with its crystal clear waters that fall from a height of almost 100 meters into the sea. Also, ‘’Pachia Ammos’’ with its golden sand, “Pyrgos tou Fonia” beach with the ruins of a medieval tower, the remote beach of ‘’Kipi’’ located on the southeastern part of the island, with its crystal clear waters and grey-black pebbles.
Nearby, 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐛𝐲 𝐛𝐨𝐚𝐭, is one of the ancient legends of Samothrace, “The sails of the old woman”, It is a geological formation of rocks, that look like large fabrics. Legend has it, that an old woman once lived there alone with her goats. One day, as she had left her washed clothes on the rock to dry, a strong wind blew them away and threw them ashore. Saddened and bitter, the woman cursed for them to be stoned.

𝐒𝐚𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐚𝐤𝐢 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐢𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐞𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐬, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐢𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐆𝐨𝐝𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐚𝐧 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐝𝐮𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐊𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐢 𝐦𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬.
